At Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Attari, sports and physical education form an integral part of holistic development of student. The school provides a strong sporting culture that promotes discipline, teamwork, leadership, and physical fitness alongside academic excellence.
Our school offers structured training in major games such as Hockey, Volleyball, Gatka, and Tug of War. In addition, a variety of minor games and age-appropriate sports activities are organized for primary students to develop fundamental motor skills, coordination, and a lifelong interest in physical activity.
Students are given ample opportunities to enhance their sporting potential by representing the school in inter-school competitions and by receiving professional coaching aimed at District, State, and National level participation. We firmly believe that being a member of a school team is a valuable and character-building experience. Under the able guidance of trained and dedicated coaches, our students consistently excel in Hockey, Volleyball, Gatka, and Tug of War.
The students of Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Attari have secured top positions in numerous sports competitions at the District, State, and National levels. The school has also been a multipletime winner of the CKD Games, organized by Chief Khalsa Diwan, Amritsar, reflecting our strong sporting legacy.
Adding to the pride of the institution, S. Shamsher Singh Attari, an Olympian and renowned Indian Hockey player, is an alumnus of our school. His achievements continue to inspire our students to pursue excellence in sports and uphold the school’s rich sporting tradition.
