The Annual Function of our school was celebrated with great enthusiasm and grandeur on 29th November 2025 within the school premises. The programme commenced at 10:00 a.m. with the arrival of our respected Chief Guest Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar and the Guest of Honour S. Kuljit Singh Sahni.
The theme of the function, “Mai Punjab,” beautifully reflected the rich culture, heritage, historical sacrifices, and deep-rooted social values of Punjab.
The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a soulful prayer seeking blessings of almighty for knowledge and success.
The Principal then addressed the gathering and presented the Annual Report, highlighting the school’s academic progress, co-curricular accomplishments and overall development throughout the year. She also shared the institution’s future vision, inspiring both students and teachers to continue striving for excellence.
Following the Annual Report, the theme was brought to life through a series of impactful and meaningful acts performed by the students:
- The Battle of Saragarhi: A stirring depiction of the unmatched bravery of the 21 Sikh soldiers, filling the audience with pride and patriotism.
- Sham Singh Attari Act: A disciplined and inspiring portrayal of the martyrdom and courage of Shaheed Sham Singh Attari.
- Maharani Jindan Act: This performance highlighted the leadership of Maharani Jindan Kaur, placing a strong emphasis on women’s empowerment.
- The Partition of India and Pakistan (1947): A heart-touching performance portraying the immense pain, struggle, and sacrifices endured during the partition of India and Pakistan.
- Social Awareness (Drug Abuse): A poignant act delivering a strong message on the dangers of drug addiction and the importance of guiding youth toward a healthy future.
- Female Foeticide Act: This performance conveyed a powerful message against social evils, promoting peace, unity and the value of the girl child.
Every performance was highly appreciated for its theme, expression, and costumes. At the end of the programme, President of CKD Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar addressed the gathering. His motivating words inspired the students and staff to work with dedication, discipline and unity.
The Prize Distribution Ceremony was the most awaited moment for the students. Meritorious students were awarded trophies and certificates for their outstanding academic performance, as well as their achievements in co-curricular and extracurricular activities. The Chief Guest congratulated the winners, encouraging them to continue working hard and to always dream big.
The function concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by S. Jaspal Singh Dhillon (Additional Honorary Secretary of the Chief Khalsa Diwan).He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the students, parents, and staff for their collective efforts in making the event a grand success.
The National Anthem marked the end of the programme. The Annual Function was truly memorable and inspiring, further strengthening the spirit of unity, creativity and excellence within our school community.
